Botox for chronic migraine

In the context of healthcare efficiency, Farminform is investigating the use of Botox (botulinum A toxin) in patients with chronic migraine. Farminform is collaborating with a group of experts consisting of three neurologists, a professor of neurovascular pharmacology, an ANIOS, and a PhD candidate.
In the Netherlands, 2.5 million people suffer from migraine*, of whom more than 3,000 are treated with Botox each year. This complex treatment takes place in a hospital.
Farminform has presented the initial findings of the study to several members of the expert group. These preliminary results are considered very interesting and relevant and may lead to an improvement in the current treatment. The next step is to expand the study with more recent data and study the results in greater detail, followed by a scientific publication.
