After 26 years, Farminform bids farewell to Léon Walenbergh
At the charming and beautiful Oranjerie Hydepark in Doorn, Farminform held, on the 22nd of April, a heartfelt farewell ceremony for Léon Walenbergh. Amid great interest from associates and business partners, speeches were given by Ron Herings (Emeritus Professor of Pharmacoepidemiology and Healthcare Optimization), Léon Tinke (Chairman of the Farminform Supervisory Board), and Luuk Renfurm (Managing Director of Farminform).
It was a farewell that was not merely about concluding a role or reaching retirement age, but above all about bringing a long, meaningful period to a close. Léon was a stalwart as a member of the executive board and the public face of Farminform.
Léon oversaw the growth, transformation, and professionalization of Farminform. Throughout all these phases, he remained the same professional: committed, reliable, meticulous, and true to the core of what Farminform stands for as a national data collective. His people-oriented style characterizes him in his interactions with colleagues and clients. He knows how to listen, connect, and remain sharp at the same time. For many Farminform colleagues, he was a mentor and a rock for many years.
Léon, we will miss you and would like to take this opportunity to thank you sincerely for your collaboration, your dedication, and for the face you have given to Farminform both internally and externally. We wish you a wonderful retirement in which you may enjoy good health.
Thank you on behalf of everyone at Farminform!
